What would I do with my life if I didn’t have to work for money?
What is ELI 5 FI? “Explain like I’m 5″ (ELI5) is a phrase for explaining concepts in an extremely simple and easy to understand manner.
Financial Independence (FI) is the ability to live life on your own terms without having to worry about money or lack thereof. Financial Independence is NOT a “get rich quick” scheme or “overnight success” gimmick. Those things simply do not exist. Anyone who is Financially Independent has done so by following simple fundamental principles that I will explain in an easy to understand way and give you the tools to take action towards achieving.
Think about that for one moment…what if someone could explain to you in an easy to understand way how to achieve Financial Independence and you were able to live life on your own terms?
Imagine what you would like to do with your life if you didn’t have to work for money anymore!
Financial Independence is closely related to the concept of Early Retirement/Retiring Early (RE) – quitting your job/career and pursuing other activities with your time. I run a seminar that deals primarily with Financial Independence, but additionally with some concepts around “retiring early” and I will explain everything to you in a simple and very easy to understand manner.
At its core, ELI5FI and FI/RE is about maximizing your savings rate (through less spending and/or higher income) to achieve FI (Financial Independence) and have the freedom to RE (“retire” early) as fast as possible. The purpose of this seminar is to discuss FI/RE strategies, techniques, and lifestyles no matter if you’re retired or not, or how old you are.
How long does it take to achieve Financial Independence? That all depends on how aggressively you pursue the FI/RE strategies you learn at the seminar. Some people have achieved Financial Independence in as little as 1 to 5 years and many have “retired early” in less than 5 to 10 years. It all depends on you! If you’re not happy with your current financial situation, this seminar will show you ways to actually improve your quality of life throughout your “accumulation” phase (the time period in which you are building up your assets towards becoming Financially Independent). Imagine how good it will feel to know no matter what kind of curve balls life throws at you, you will be prepared. Imagine not having to worry about money even before you’re actually considered Financially Independent. You will learn all of this and more at this seminar.
FI/RE is about:
- Discovering and achieving life goals: “What would I do with my life if I didn’t have to work for money?”
- Simplifying and redesigning your lifestyle to reduce spending. Your wants and needs aren’t written in stone, and less spending is powerful at any income level.
- Working to increase your income and income streams with projects, side-gigs, and additional effort
- Striving to save a large percentage (generally more than 50%) of your income to accelerate achieving FI
- Investing to make your money work for you, and learning to manage/optimize those investments for the unique nature of FI/RE
- Retiring Early
FI/RE is NOT about:
- Gaining wealth for the purpose of excessive consumption
- Taking the slow road, or the traditional road to retirement
- Getting rich quick or having an “overnight success” story
Becoming Financially Independent requires some work and a healthy attitude towards money, but all of the knowledge you receive at the seminar would be would be useless if you didn’t also know how you can take action now. At this seminar you will learn exactly what you need to do starting today and throughout your “accumulation” phase.
It doesn’t matter where you are in your life today, at this very moment! It does not matter if you’re employed, self-employed, unemployed, or out of business, I will show you how and where to begin no matter what your situation may be. If you’re tired of the “rat race” and/or being on a “hamster wheel” then this seminar is for you!
I did not become Financially Independent by giving these life changing seminars. A few years back, during my “accumulation” phase, I asked myself “What am I going to do when I no longer have to worry about money?”.
Aside from spending more quality time with family and friends, engaging in various hobbies, traveling the world, and indulging leisure time, I realized that ultimately the answer to that question was to help other people. Throughout those years it just sort of clicked that since I had gained so much experience in both failures and successes that I can teach others the path to Financial Independence in a simple way. I wish I had access to a seminar like this when I was learning it the hard way! I knew from that moment on that I would compile everything I learned throughout those years and eventually teach others the way to become Financially Independent. You will learn more about my humble beginnings, struggles, and triumphs when you attend this seminar.
Most importantly, you will learn how to take action immediate action towards becoming Financially Independent and you will learn how to avoid all of the potential pitfalls and painful lessons learned. Although you won’t be Financially Independent tomorrow, you will most likely within a very short period of time have enough money that although you may still need to work, you won’t have to worry about living paycheck to paycheck any longer!
